Madeline Stewart
Madeline is a kinesiologist, fitness enthusiast, and movement certification junkie. What started as an exploration in running and yoga, to ground her between vocal performances, led to participation in long course triathlons, cycling, marathon swimming, strength training, natural movement, toddler carrying, and more.
As a kinesiologist, Madeline has specialized training in orthopedics, corrective exercise, and performance psychology. In addition, she is certified in Holistic Yoga Therapeutics, MovNat, BIRTHFIT, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Functional Range Conditioning, and Kinstretch. She brings her own embodied experience and her expertise to every class she teaches. Madeline’s classes are grounded in science and ongoing research. She gears her classes towards establishing and strengthening movement patterns to support individual empowerment and longevity. Her classes will assist you in establishing a pain-free and fulfilling life as a musician. Amidst the lunges and warrior poses, you will find the strength to hold yourself up when facing adversity and the mobility to adjust to the many curveballs of life.
Hannah Murray
Hannah is one of those people who likes her workouts to be more “ahh-ahh” than “rah-rah.” Her movement practice includes a wide variety of activities, including (but not limited to) long-distance running, hiking, horse riding, yoga, long walks on the beach, and so much more.
To say Hannah is interested in anatomy is an understatement. Embodied sensation coupled with alignment-aware movement makes up the foundation of her classes and instruction. She is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher and one of the only Timani teachers in the United States, giving her unique expertise when creating movement practices specifically for musicians. Hannah designs her classes to bring strength and ease to your daily experiences, foster a comfortable place to explore sensation, and build confidence in your capability to move your beautiful body.
